GI Bill Education Benefits, US Department of Veterans Affairs
US veterans, their dependents, and/or spouses attending RRU on-campus programs may be eligible for GI Bill education benefits through the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Blended and online programs are not eligible for GI Bill education benefits.
Am I eligible? Visit the VA website for detailed student eligibility criteria.
Is my program eligible? A list of programs currently approved for education benefits is available on the VA website.
If the program is not currently approved please contact the RRU Financial Aid and Awards office. We will work with the VA to determine eligibility. This process could take several weeks (or more during peak periods).
Please note blended and online programs are not eligible for education benefits.
How to apply
Using your benefits at RRU
If you are approved for benefits you will be issued a certificate of eligibility by the VA.
Please email a copy of your certificate of eligibility to email@example.com. We will complete a VA Enrollment Certification (VA Form 22-1999) and submit it to the VA.
- If you receive education benefits under Chapter 35 the VA will send the money directly to you.
- If you receive education benefits under Chapter 33 the VA will send the money to RRU. Please contact the RRU’s Student Accounts department to discuss how this sponsorship will work with your tuition payments.
