Phishing Email and Webmail Alert from Royal Roads University
A sophisticated phishing email has recently been sent from a Royal Roads email account requesting that you "update your email". If you received this email, please disregard it and delete it from your Inbox. If you did respond to this email and provided your personal details please contact Royal Roads University Computer Help Desk.
As part of our response to recent phishing attempts, we are temporarily suspending access to Royal Roads webmail until early in the New Year.
This means that you will not be able to login to email using webmail. However, you will still be able to access email through email forwarding, which sends Royal Roads email to your personal email account. If you are not already using email-forwarding, IT Services will automatically enable this function for you.
We also want to remind you, please do not click on any email links that look suspicious. Always check the sender of an email before you click on a link or open an attachment in an email. If you have concerns about an email that you have received, please forward the email to Computer.Helpdesk@RoyalRoads.ca
