Getting Started: The LaunchPad
When your student account is activated, you'll be automatically registered for LaunchPad. LaunchPad is our online site built to help you understand what to expect and how to succeed at RRU. This interactive online orientation tool is self-paced and designed to get you ready for your new academic journey.
International Student Orientation
Our International Student Orientation is designed to provide you with critical international student-specific information prior to your arrival and program start.
All new international students in degree programs are expected to attend an online orientation session prior to the start of their program.
The next available sessions are scheduled for Friday, July 18th and Friday, August 1st, 2025. Please register for your preferred date and if you are unable to attend, please contact us.

Indigenous Student Orientation
If your ancestors are Indigenous Peoples of the Lands we now call Canada or you’re Indigenous to other regions of the world, we are grateful that you have chosen to study at Royal Roads. We are committed to supporting your success.
We encourage you to connect with Indigenous Student Services to get oriented to RRU.
On-Campus Student Orientation
Our On-Campus Student Orientation is designed to connect new students and the RRU community through interactive workshops and campus tours.
All new on-campus students in degree programs are expected to attend an in-person orientation session prior to the start of their program.
Colwood Campus
Students attending programs located at the Colwood Campus can choose to attend one of the following dates:

Campus Connect

Inbound Exchange Student Orientation
Inbound Exchange Student Orientation is designed to kick off your study abroad adventure smoothly with tips and tricks to support your success in Canada and as a learner at RRU.
All new Inbound Exchange Students are expected to attend this online orientation in place of International Student Orientation prior to their program start.
