Much More than Books
The on campus library at Royal Roads offers support and answers, ideas and inspiration, discussions and collaboration for you while you are on campus, but it also offers solace and sanctuary to take the edge off the pace of your on campus residency. Discover Summon, our mobile-friendly online search tool, to find the materials you need for your project, or consult with our Writing Centre to find the best way to communicate your message.
If you need some space, the library at Royal Roads University provides 46 computer stations available to students, faculty, and staff, as well as six breakout rooms for you to hold meetings, brainstorming sessions, or just enjoy a quiet place to concentrate on your studies.
The English language can be a bit tricky, even if you’ve been using it your whole life. Clearly communicating your message in writing is an essential part of university life, and it’s something that many of our learners struggle with. Thanks to the support and guidance available through our on campus Writing Centre, you don’t have to.
Whether you’re looking for the steps to help you get started on your next paper or you’re looking for some help with a specific issue, the Writing Centre is able to work with you to find the answers you’re looking for.
On Campus or Across the Country
If you’re on campus, you can stop in and enjoy our scenic location where the sun shines into the library as you look towards the Olympic Mountains. If you’re not on campus, you can still make use of our services through our convenient online access. Online or offline, we’ve got the resources you need to complete your research.
A Better Bookstore
You can purchase your textbooks and course materials in our on campus bookstore, conveniently located in the RRU library. It’s open 7 days a week, or you can call or email us to place your order and we can put your books on hold to be picked up later.
Ask a Librarian
At RRU, collaboration is the key to success. Our librarians are able to help you find research topics, help you with your writing needs, and provide a quiet space for you to collect your thoughts. If you’ve got questions, you can use our Ask a Librarian service to quickly find the answers you’re looking for.
