Amy Zidulka

Associate professor

Ann Dale

Professor

Dale has received national and international recognition for her research of sustainable community development.

Expertise: Environmental activism and innovation, Canadian governance, public policy, climate change and community vitality.

Brian Belcher

Professor

An Ashoka Research Chair, Belcher is a senior associate scientist with the Centre for International Forestry Research and the Consortium Research Program of Forests, Trees and Agroforestry. He is an avid cyclist and is president of the Greater Victoria Velodrome Association.

Expertise: The role and potential of natural resources to sustainably contribute to rural development and research effectiveness.

Brian P. White

White represents Royal Roads University as a member of the BC Garden Tourism Coalition.

Expertise: Heritage and cultural tourism, ecotourism, First Nations tourism planning and destination development.

Brigitte Harris

Dean

Harris has worked with the BC government in research, evaluation, stakeholder consultation and engagement strategies for organizational transformation.

Expertise: Narrative inquiry and arts-based research, learning and teaching in higher education, workplace and professional education and leadership in healthcare settings.

Carolin Rekar Munro

Professor

Munro has published work on bridging multi-generational differences, developing and sustaining high performing teams, ROI from training initiatives, leadership models for transitioning teams to interdependence, wellness management of HR practitioners and mentoring Generation Y.

Expertise: Change management, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and labour relations and collective bargaining.

Catherine Etmanski

Professor

Expertise: Social and environmental justice, teaching participatory research and the use of art-based methods in promoting dialogue and democracy.

Charles Krusekopf

Professor

Krusekopf is a founder of the American Center for Mongolian Studies in Ulaanbaatar and regularly leads research trips to Mongolia.

Expertise: international business, cross-border innovation, collaborations between Canada and Asia, economic and political affairs in Mongolia, global carbon policies and energy efficiency.

Chaseten Remillard

Associate professor

Through his research into images and their meanings, Remillard has examined topics such as homelessness, artist Bill Reid, hockey art, the Alberta Oil Sands and shark films.

Expertise: Visual and professional communications and how images gain and transmit meaning and how these meanings serve to reinforce ways of seeing ourselves and the world around us.

Cheryl Heykoop

Associate professor

Expertise: Participatory action research, nature-based leadership, child rights, child and youth engagement in truth commissions and the lived experiences of young people who have faced disasters, conflict and chronic illness (e.g., cancer).

Chris Ling

Program head

Ling was involved in the Solar Colwood project, a local municipal green energy incentive program.

Expertise: Planning and landscape in human environments, sustainable community development, post-industrial landscapes, the impact of the spread of agriburban regions and quality of life.

David Black

Associate professor

Black is a frequent political commentator and pundit for provincial and national media, focusing on political communication and election campaigns.
