The past few weeks have been wonderful: students are meeting their instructors face-to-face, debating ideas in the hallways (including with me!) and planning group projects over lunch in the gardens.

Vice-President Academic and Provost Veronica Thompson and I have had the pleasure of once again welcoming students back to in-person classrooms.

On the International Day of Democracy, we dropped in on a class of Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies students studying alongside Assoc. Prof. Kathleen Manion.

I can’t tell you how emotional these welcomes are for me.

They are so enthusiastic and engaged and I couldn’t help but leave feeling inspired by them, not to mention all the staff, faculty and associate faculty who support them every day.
