Exploring the Development of a Learning Outcome Focused on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Tam Pozzobon was awarded Research and Professional Development funds for a project to engage RRU to develop Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion within the School of Leadership Studies.

This project seeks to engage faculty, associate faculty (AF), staff, and alumni from RRU to develop a learning outcome focused on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) within School of Leadership Studies (SoLS) programs. The intention is to 1) conduct a literature review on JEDI learning outcomes and assessment and 2) engage in two stakeholder dialogues with faculty, AF, staff, and potentially subject matter experts (SMEs) to: a) envision how a learning outcome focused on JEDI might be introduced to the SoLS program; b) explore how this learning outcome could be assessed; and c) consider the requirements of our programs (resources, instructors, supports, etc.) to support this learning outcome in practice. The results of this project will likely have an application within other areas of RRU.
