The Program Office is very pleased to announce that another successful Master of Arts in Environmental Education and Communication (MAEEC) residency has just ended. It was three weeks of intense on-campus learning, guest speakers, and exciting evening events. The first cohort attended for the entire three weeks, while the second cohort attended field school for the first week and arrived at the Royal Roads campus for the second week. The third cohort arrived for their two weeks of residency on July 29, 2019.

Some of the exciting events were open for students and the general public. The Bateman Lecture was open to all and was happy to welcome Michael Ableman as its presenter. The presentation is available for viewing at this link.

The Human Library is also open for attendance and is pictured above. It is an event that allows great dialogue between students and subject matter experts, with one of the goals being to find a thesis supervisor – if one is not already secured!

The Program Office would like to extend its deep appreciation to all the faculty and students that make this an exciting adventure each time we embark upon a residency. We look forward to seeing many of the students again next year, and to supporting all students toward graduation!
