Simona Thimot's area of expertise is empowering initiative in group processes. She leverages her communications skills to inspire individuals, help them thrive in teams and achieve successful outcomes. Her academic research is focused on the contribution of interpersonal trust to the generation of flow in group activities. Thimot is a creative thinker who relishes writing and editing. She is a writing coach and mentor to MBA students. Thimot's biography would be incomplete without noting her multinational background and Canada-wide experience. She and her family have adapted happily to life in Victoria, as they love anything in and around the water.
Experience
Thimot comes to Royal Roads with a wealth of organizational experience. She has been a communications and stakeholder engagement specialist, change manager, executive project manager and program manager who has led multi-million dollar projects during significant transformational periods in the telecommunication social service and education sectors. Thimot applies her love of learning processes by mentoring staff at all levels, developing experiential learning activities and facilitating group processes.
Thimot holds a number of professional certifications including Prosci Change Management Certification, Project Management Professional and a Business Process Management Certification.
