Join us on February 20 for a panel discussion on the intersection of ethical AI and Professional Communication. We will explore essential elements of AI ethics for post-secondary educators, covering topics such as:

  • what key AI skills are needed in Professional Communication courses to support students entering the workforce,
  • how to avoid AI plagiarism in assignments, and
  • how to create assignments and rubrics that leverage AI skills ethically and professionally.

Join us in envisioning a "Shared Future" where we question and imagine how generative AI might play a vital role in shaping sustainable energy systems, safe urban spaces, and well-balanced workforces.

The session will be hosted by Dr. Chasten Remillard, Program Head for the MA in Professional Communication and the BA in Professional Communication.

Our panelists include:

  • Rebecca Bultsma, APR, EDU Director of Communications,
  • Archie McLean, Journalism, Mount Royal University,
  • Peter Ryan, APR, Public Relations, Mount Royal University,
  • Alex Sevigny, APR, Communication Studies & Media Arts, McMaster University.
