Engaging Authenticity in Environmental Communication through Arts-Based Research and Pedagogy

Geo Takach was awarded funding through an Internal Grant for Research for a conference presentation on advocating for arts-based research and pedagogy.

This application is to disseminate research anchoring an invited panel that I will chair at a major conference, introducing, modelling and advocating for arts-based research (ABR) in communication pedagogy. Participants/students explore their affinity for artistic inquiry; assess benefits and challenges of making their project ABR; and consider artistic forms, media and strategies through which they might research their project and share it with diverse audiences.
