The course adopts a processual perspective that emphasizes the various stakeholders involved and impacted by the change, and how those stakeholders can be successfully engaged in the change process. Consideration is also given to power, politics, and resistance to change, as well as how change can be led ethically by employees, middle managers, and top management. By the end of the course, the student will be in a position to contribute actively and meaningfully to a change initiative and will have the opportunity to do so through working with a case company.
