Dr. Goodman has a passion for sustainability and social and environmental ethics.  She firmly believes we have a responsibility to this and future generations to create a healthy and just society. Although her research has been focused on global issues, she is deeply embedded in her community and recognizes that global change can come from local action. With an academic background in international relations and human geography, Goodman has been fortunate to work and live in many countries and speaks multiple languages allowing her to better understand how identity, culture and place influence the way we approach sustainability problems. She is an avid traveler, researcher and educator and currently lives in Scottsdale, AZ with her daughter and two dogs.

Experience

Goodman been working in the field and teaching face to face and online for 15 years. Her professional career began with work in Mexico focusing on sustainable development in small fishing villages in Baja. Here she worked with academics, NGOs, students and government officials to research sustainable development strategies that were fair to both communities and the environment. She teaches courses on sustainable tourism, systems thinking and sustainability, and the ethics and economics of sustainability.
