Kobby is a thought-leader and educator and enjoys teaching and interacting with students. His teaching, much like his research and professional practice, reflects a passionate interest in the field of business administration, management and leadership, and their applicability in the marketplace.

His work focuses on strategy formulation process, implementation and the pursuit of excellent service delivery to clients He integrates a variety of methods such as practical evidence, business cases and simulation exercises that elicit forward-thinking solutions in today’s complex, dynamic and often unpredictable global marketplace. 

His research interests focus on business strategy, strategic leadership, entrepreneurship, globalization and outsourcing.
 

Experience

Kobby has worked in both private and public sectors and has more than 16 years’ experience in building and leading high-performance teams. He currently works as the Director, Regional Facilities Management with Vancouver Island Health. 

In this role, Kobby is responsible and accountable for providing leadership and strategic direction to the Facilities Emergency Management, Parking, Leased Site Facility Maintenance, Industrial Hygiene and Asset Optimization departments within the Facilities Management portfolio. He is also responsible for the delivery of regional services within owned buildings.  

Kobby is also an adjunct faculty in the University of Northern BC, where he teaches Business and Corporate Strategy in the Master of Business Administration program and Langara College Continues Studies focusing on custom leadership and management training for leaders and managers. He is a founding faculty of GradCampus and co-founder of Chief and Friends Foundation.
