Chris Duff

Business

Chris Duff has a long track record of teaching and course development in the areas of accounting and finance. His research interests are focused upon resource management within Canadian health care and he is the author of two publications pertaining to health-care management in British Columbia. He is an area co-ordinator and instructor with the CPA Canada Community Connect Program that is focussed on improving population financial literacy. He is a B.C. marriage commissioner and officiates at wedding ceremonies in lower mainland BC. His volunteer activities include being the treasurer of Autism Community Services BC. He lives in metro Vancouver with his wife Julie.

Experience

Prior to entering academia, Duff held senior management positions at a variety of organizations in the UK together with Eastern and Western Canada. Duff has been associated with Royal Roads since 1997. He has held a variety of positions at the university including director of the bachelor of commerce program. He retired from full-time employment in the spring of 2010 and was awarded the title of professor emeritus at that time.

He holds a Canadian CPA, CA designation and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
