
Angela Whitney is an associate faculty member in the School of Business and teaches emotional intelligence in the Master of Business Administration program.
She brings more than 18 years of experience in human resources and leadership in healthcare, municipal government, manufacturing, security and public safety organizations. She has a passion for enhancing leadership capability through the development and application of emotional intelligence in leaders and teams.
Experience
In addition to teaching at Royal Roads University, Whitney has held senior leadership roles accountable for fire & rescue, municipal enforcement, human resources, communications, legislative & policy services, data analytics and information technology.
Prior to municipal government, Whitney worked in a variety of HR and operational leadership roles in healthcare, manufacturing and policing. These positions included accountability for strategic business partnering, employee and labour relations, collective bargaining, change management, talent development, disability management, HR administration and strategic planning
