Nikki Bade is a scholar-practitioner who is passionate about supporting organizations to develop and leverage their most valuable resource—their people. As a human resources professional, Bade works as a people relations manager for WestJet. Previously, she worked in the non-profit, retail and oil and gas sectors. Bade has also worked to support human resources functions in Central and South America. She is passionate about arts-based research methodologies, particularly PhotoVoice, a qualitative method for community-based research. She used PhotoVoice in her master’s research and intends to use it in her doctoral work. Bade has presented on arts-based research at several conferences and has published two papers on the subject. Bade holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University (2015) and completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Calgary.
