Steenkamp on the future of education

Royal Roads University President Philip Steenkamp joined host Hayley Woodin for Business in Vancouver’s video podcast.  

Part of the podcast’s Education series, Steenkamp and Woodin discussed the future of post-secondary education, how Royal Roads is thriving, and why the president is optimistic for 2021.

“COVID only accelerated trends that were already there. Prior to COVID, post-secondary was looking at significant change. We’ve seen huge technological change which just accelerates day by day. That’s resulted in significant economic disruption in multiple sectors…

“Institutions really have to think about the role they play and equip people with the skills they need to thrive and survive in this kind of environment. And what kind of leadership can we take on those key, critical issues?”
