The Minerva Foundation seeks to create opportunities for BC women to realize their economic and leadership potential, particularly single mothers, or recent immigrants, or Indigenous women, or women with a disability.
The Minerva Foundation is committed to supporting bursaries to assist single mothers at B.C. universities with the costs of tuition, childcare and housing. This bursary for BC women seeking to advance their education at Royal Roads University is a result of Minerva Foundation's generosity and partnership with the University. The recipient must be willing to follow up with the Minerva Foundation after receiving the funding.
Eligibility
- demonstrated financial need
- female resident of BC maintaining satisfactory standing in a full time degree program
- preference given to single mothers, recent immigrants, Indigenous women (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, Non-Status), or women with a disability
- in the event that two or more applicants are equal in need, preference will be given to the applicant with the highest academic standing
How to apply
- this In-Course Award is open to students who are (or will be) active in their program on the deadline date
- pending the availability of funding, the competition will run annually from September 1st to November 1st (closes 11:59pm RRU time)
- applications are submitted online through MyAdmin. A full list of awards in competition will be viewable upon login
- address eligibility criteria for all awards in that competition in one one-page essay with your name in top margin
