The Entrepreneurial Mindset Award was established by Royal Roads Alumnus Mr. Hussein Manji, entrepreneur and successful business owner. Manji graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management Program at Royal roads and went on to start a successful company. With his own entrepreneurial success, Manji created the award with the intention of supporting future entrepreneurs who are planning to leverage their Royal Roads educational experience to enter the startup world.

The award will give preference to students who embody an "Entrepreneurial Mindset," a mindset that challenges the barriers of status quo systems, recognizes opportunities in everyday life, is resilient in the face of adversity and takes dedicated physical and mental steps towards progress. The award includes an optional 3-hour mentorship with philanthropist and serial entrepreneur, Hussein Manji.

How to apply

  • this In-Course Award is open to students who are (or will be) active in their program on the deadline date
  • pending the availability of funding, the competition will run annually from June 1st to August 1st (closes 11:59pm RRU time)
  • applications are submitted online through MyAdmin. A full list of awards in competition will be viewable upon login
  • address eligibility criteria for all awards in that competition in one one-page essay with your name in top margin
