The Dr. Barry Maber Memorial Award was created by his family to create a lasting legacy in his memory. Dr. Maber was a Saskatoon-based physician enrolled in RRU’s MA in Conflict Analysis and Management (MACAM) program when he passed. Well-respected and admired by his colleagues at Royal Roads, he was awarded RRU’s first posthumous degree. The bursary will be awarded annually to one student enrolled in the second year of the MACAM program, with preference given to a student with an interest in expanding his/her understanding of the role that conflict plays within the healthcare field.

Eligibility

  • demonstrated financial need
  • enrolled in second year of MA in Conflict Analysis and Management program
  • preference given to a student with an interest in expanding his/her understanding of the role that conflict plays within the healthcare field

How to apply

  • this In-Course Award is open to students who are (or will be) active in their program on the deadline date
  • pending the availability of funding, the competition will run annually from June 1st to August 1st (closes 11:59pm RRU time)
  • applications are submitted online through MyAdmin. A full list of awards in competition will be viewable upon login
  • address eligibility criteria for all awards in that competition in one one-page essay with your name in top margin
