This course supports students through the process of completing the Organizational Management Project (OMP), which is the integrative learning activity required to complete the MBA program at Royal Roads University. The OMP involves identifying a management issue within an organization, researching the current knowledge on the issue, conducting real world research relevant to that issue, and developing evidence-based recommendations and an implementation plan for how the client or host organization can address the issue. The course teaches learners: • how to develop a research methodology for the social sciences and obtain ethical clearance to collect primary data; • to effectively present, analyze, and discuss research findings as they relate to the client/host organization’s context; • to succinctly and convincingly develop evidence-based recommendations and an implementation plan meeting the specific needs of the client/host organization. Prerequisites: BUSA 696A Organizational Management Project – Introduction and Company Background, Literature Review, and (Limited) Research Methods.
