Canadian-born and UK-raised, Sarah Hyams brings an intercultural perspective to her work as a Team Coach at Royal Roads University. A speaker of four languages and passionate about culture, she draws on a rich tapestry of life experiences to help students navigate diverse perspectives and ways of working together.
With over 20 years of experience as a certified teacher and more recently, as a coach, Sarah has worked extensively with individuals and groups to foster self-awareness, strengthen communication, and enhance collaboration. Her background spans education, coaching, and movement-based facilitation, enabling her to bring both structure and creativity to the learning environment.
An alumna of specialist coach training and an International Coaching Federation–accredited program, Sarah combines evidence-based coaching approaches with a deep understanding of group dynamics. She supports students in developing the skills, resilience, and mindset needed to thrive in team-based learning and beyond.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys exploring new places dancing, and immersing herself in different cultures—a love of adventure that informs her open and curious approach to teamwork.
