This supplement aims to encourage diversity and reduce the financial barrier to education at RRU for an applicant with an extraordinary life circumstance.

Eligibility

Valued up to $5,000 and awarded in addition to an Royal Roads University Entrance Award or Bursary, this supplement aims to encourage diversity and reduce the financial barrier to education at RRU for an applicant with an extraordinary life circumstance. The qualified candidate has overcome great personal challenges (e.g. former child in care, child of fallen service member). 

When a suitable candidate is discovered among Entrance Award or Bursary nominees, the supplement will be added to the Entrance Award or Bursary. The Awards Adjudication Panel has the discretion of when to offer this supplement amongst the four Royal Roads University Entrance Award/Bursary competitions each year.

Eligibility

  • Entering a degree program at RRU
  • Applies to a competition with a deadline that falls before the program begins
  • Has faced extraordinary life challenges

How to Apply

  • this Entrance Award supplement is open to students who will be active in their program after the deadline date
  • pending the availability of funding, the competition will run annually from:
    • December 1st to February 1st
    • March 1st to May 1st
    • June 1st to August 1st
    • September 1st to November 1st
  • applications are submitted online through MyAdmin
