Bio (Sylvie Plante)

Sylvie Plante facilitates The Human Side of Business and Human Resource Management for Innovation and Sustainability in the School of Business at Royal Roads University. For more than 20 years, Plante has assisted organizations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors as principal consultant and owner of Sylvie Plante Enterprise Channeling Inc., as a change management consultant with global consulting firms such as Accenture and as a Canadian federal government employee. She has collaborated with client teams to design and implement effective workforce and workplace strategies that support organizational development, effectiveness and wellbeing. As a scholar-practitioner, Plante is client-focused, facilitating design thinking workshops with Spring2Innovation, delivering Strategic HRM projects with Business Sherpa Group and Leadership Development programs with Telfer School of Management in Ottawa.
Plante has a Master of Arts in Organizational Management and Development with Fielding Graduate University and a Bachelor of Business Administration with the University of Ottawa. She is a Certified Professional Facilitator and has a Certificate in Human Resources Management from McGill University. Plante is currently researching innovation in entrepreneurial and partnership settings, and the use of relationships in social networks to facilitate collaboration as a Doctor of Social Sciences candidate in Royal Roads University’s College of Interdisciplinary Studies, working with Dr. Frances Jorgensen.
