Bill Lewis is an award-winning hospitality executive and Associate Faculty member in the School of Tourism & Hospitality Management at Royal Roads University. With more than 20 years as a General Manager and over 25 years in leadership, he is recognized as one of Canada’s top boutique hotel operators. As General Manager of the Magnolia Hotel & Spa and Area Director for Atlific Hotels, Bill focuses on strategic leadership, luxury service culture, and operational excellence. His academic and professional work emphasizes strategic planning, brand positioning, and data-driven guest experience strategies.
Experience
Bill serves as General Manager of the Magnolia Hotel & Spa in Victoria and Area Director for Atlific Hotels, leading one of Canada’s most celebrated independent boutique hotels. His prior roles include senior management positions with Coast Hotels & Resorts across Western Canada. Throughout his career, Bill has specialized in elevating service culture, developing high-performance teams, and driving strong operational results across luxury and upscale properties. He has also taught at Royal Roads University since 2011.
