Join us in person or online Wednesday, Dec. 3 to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with an event that celebrates the voices and experiences of students and alumni with disabilities at Royal Roads University. This session will present findings from the research project “(In)visible Journeys: Experiences of Students and Alumni with Disabilities,” which explores barriers, enablers and pathways toward greater inclusion in post-secondary education. The event is free and sponsored by the Allan Cahoon Global Advancement and Diversity Fund.

The event will feature a panel of students and alumni who will share how their disabilities have shaped their learning experiences. Together, we will reflect on RRU’s ongoing progress toward accessibility and inclusion and engage in a collaborative discussion to identify tangible solutions that can be applied in classrooms, workplaces and institutional practices.

Whether you are a student, staff member, faculty or community partner, this event offers an opportunity to listen, learn and co-create a more accessible and equitable learning environment for all. Coffee/tea and light refreshments will be provided.
