I have a BSN and MSN from the University of British Columbia. I was born and raised in Vancouver. I am married, and my husband and I share seven adult children together, and five grandchildren. I have two brothers, and my mother is living in Richmond and is 92 years young. I have a musical background and enjoy singing and playing the harp, having studied voice and harp in France. I then pursued a full-time career in nursing, and specialized in mental health – psychiatric nursing, working in acute care settings and the community. I have been a full-time instructor in nursing programs at Kwantlen Polytechnic University for the past decade, and now teach exclusively online. Recently, I returned to school at the Vancouver School of Theology, training as a spiritual care leader. I have recently traveled to El Salvador with co-students focusing on community development, human rights issues and child trafficking. I hold a Real Estate License that I use exclusively to help friends and family members. My interests include scuba diving, traveling to Australia, swimming, hiking, walking my dogs, spending time with family, cooking and reading, and I am a life-long learner.
