Guest speaker & topic: Dr. Jennifer Walinga on Olympic Principles to Guide Organizational Success
RRU professor and Olympic gold medalist, Dr. Jennifer Walinga, will share tools, theories and processes for addressing power imbalances and cultural incongruities, and (re)building organizational integrity from no matter where you are leading.
In sport, a winning team requires power balance and cultural integrity– both of which can be leveraged to build a thriving organization. Confusion, uncertainty, and lack of trust are the precursors to distraction, disengagement, presenteeism, illness, injury, and turnover, all of which affect overall performance.
Sport holds many of the most crucial principles organizational leaders currently seek: strength in diversity, the power of vision, the benefit of recovery and periodization, the importance of psychological safety to a learning organization, and how transparency and independence are central to accountability and together serve to build trust, community, and sustainability in any organization.
