The Culture Collaborative: Building Cultural Integrity Across the Canadian Sport System

The Canadian sport system has been the subject of intense national and international scrutiny of late earning the anti-Noble Purpose Sport Award from the Center for Sport Integrity at University of New Haven, inviting the The Canadian Safe Sport Think Tank Report from Global Athlete, and leading to an independent Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner, and a Future of Sport in Canada Commission to investigate abuses in sport in Canada. For that reason, we have arranged for a multi-part episode of the Sport, Leadership and Social Change webinar series to explore the concept of cultural development as a cornerstone for change by looking at the values, beliefs, assumptions and how these manifest in structures, processes, and practices. What can true cultural change look like across all realms of the Canadian sport system? Join Dr. Jennifer Walinga for this important discussion and to hear from experts - academics, practitioners, and sport leaders - in the field of organizational and cultural development in sport.

Cultural Development Initiatives in National and Multi Sport Organizations

Several national sport organizations are taking part in cultural development initiatives. Join Dr. Jennifer Walinga for a conversation with sport leaders facilitating cultural change on the ground – Marc Schryburt, High Peformance Director of Speed Skating Canada, Kraig Devlin, High Performance Director of Boxing Canada, Nathan Bombrys, CEO of Rugby Canada, and *bonus* reel with Dr. Adrienne Leslie Toogood, Mental Performance Consultant and Lead with Own the Podium’s Culture of Excellence initiative.
