Examines the elements of skillful professional writing, including grammar and punctuation. Introduces students to efficient research, organization, composition and persuasive, logical argumentation, along with fundamental principles of business, scientific, technical and scholarly writing. A series of writing projects enables students to develop a theoretically grounded approach to analyzing communication situations and audiences, and then designing and writing documents accordingly.
