Explores the key topics and skills managers need to successfully develop and lead Indigenous enterprises and partnerships. Topics to be covered include: •Environment, Social and Environment (ESG) and the role of Indigenous participation indeveloping Indigenous economies, •Human Resource management; considering Indigenous adaptions necessary for organizations tobe inclusive of Indigenous peoples and perspectives, •Risk Assessment and Risk Management inclusive of Indigenous perspectives of risk and theapplication of traditional knowledge as mitigation measures, •Environmental Planning from an Indigenous perspective; marrying the Indigenous Economy withthe Environment, •Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation and Indigenous approaches to relationship building. Students will have the opportunity for deeper exploration of two of the key topic areas covered in the course through individual assignments and the opportunity to apply Indigenous perspectives. *pending approval
