You can transfer your credits from the Canadian Military College or your navy training toward bachelor and master's degree programs at Royal Roads University.
Build on your training with Canadian Armed Forces to receive credit for Royal Roads University programs.
Our education agreements recognize the complexity of the education you've received. They'll help you to build on this to advance your personal and professional goals.
We have agreements in place that allow you to apply your military or naval training toward a Royal Roads degree.
Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies
You can apply 12 credits from specific courses in the Joint Command and Staff Programme or the National Security Programme to earn a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Your credits are considered "equivalent earned credits," and you still need to meet regular admission requirements for the program.
The Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies is a two-year graduate degree program offered through a combination of online courses and short, intensive residencies on campus.
The program combines courses from a variety of academic disciplines ranging from leadership to disaster and emergency management. You'll complete a major project related to your profession or a thesis for graduation.
Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management
You can do a block transfer to the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management program if you're a MARS (Maritime Surface) Officer or you're being sponsored by the Chief of Maritime Staff at the Department of National Defence and have appropriate qualifications.
This means that you can be admitted to the third year of an undergraduate degree program if you meet other admission requirements.
The Bachelor of Commerce program includes a combination of online courses and three short, intensive residencies on campus. In this program, you'll learn the practical skills you need to be successful in business and management, including accounting, strategy, economics, marketing and human resources.
You may also qualify for admission to other undergraduate programs at Royal Roads through this agreement with the Department of National Defence.
Other Royal Roads programs may fit your needs for professional development to support or advance your career. If you don't meet standard admission requirements, you can apply for many of our programs through flexible admission.
Our approach to admissions is student-centered. We consider your life and career experience — and not just your grades. We'll look at all of your accomplishments, even if they didn't happen in a classroom.
