Graduation

Here's what you need to know as you prepare to graduate from RRU

• You do not need to apply to graduate. Our office will review your student record when you’re eligible for graduation.
• To be eligible for graduation, all your final grades must be approved and received to our office by the posted grade deadline.
• You need to meet our graduation criteria. 
• Our office normally receives your grades within 15 business days of the course end date.
• If you miss the grade deadline, our office will automatically assess your student record for graduation eligibility for the next scheduled Academic Council meeting.

Has your name recently changed ?

The name you declared when you applied to your program is the name that will be printed on your parchment.

If you recently changed your legal name, or need to make a correction to your name, please let us know as soon as possible. If you’re unsure what name is on file, send us an email and we’ll let you know.

Have you recently moved or changed your personal email address?

Your MyAdmin account lets you access your student record and provides many administrative services you may need as an RRU alum.

Keep your contact information updated. If anything changes, please update your MyAdmin account. 

How will I know I’ve graduated?

Once you graduate from your program, you'll receive an official email notification from our office letting you know your credential has been conferred and you've graduated.

Our office will also upload a Confirmation of Graduation (COG) letter to MyCreds®  

When your COG letter is ready you'll receive an email from MyCreds®, which will include information on how to register and activate your MyCreds® account. 

Once your account is set up, you can pay for and share your COG letter. You'll need to purchase at least one share credit in order to view or print your COG letter. If you do not access your COG letter, you will not be charged a fee.

When will I receive my parchment?

After you graduate, our office will mail your parchment to the address we have on file within 4-6 weeks of your graduation date. 

Please make sure your address is up to date in your MyAdmin account.

When can I order my transcripts?

Your transcript is the official record of your academic activity at RRU. It includes all your programs, courses, grades, and credentials. You can request a transcript from our office anytime by visiting your MyAdmin account.

When can I request my letter of completion ?

You can request a letter of completion from our office once all your courses are complete, you’ve met the academic requirements of your program, and your final grades are visible in MyAdmin. 

To request a letter, please download and complete the letter request form found in your MyAdmin account and email it to our office. 

When can I attend Convocation?

You are eligible to attend Convocation after your graduation at Academic Council:

• Make sure to review the eligible convocation ceremonies column on the important dates table located at the top of this webpage.
• If you're unable to attend your scheduled ceremony, you can contact our Convocation Team and request to attend the next scheduled convocation. To attend Convocation, you’ll need to apply. 
• Closer to your scheduled ceremony, our Convocation Team will send you an email with more information.

How do I request an invitation for Convocation letter?

To request an invitation for Convocation letter, please download and complete the letter request form found in your MyAdmin account and email it to our office. 

Letters are usually processed within five business days.

What happens to my email account after I graduate?

You'll normally have access to your RRU email account for two weeks after your Convocation ceremony date. You'll continue to have access to your MyAdmin account forever. Keep your login details for your records. If you forget your Student ID number, please call our office.
