Pour yourself a cup of coffee and come join us for a casual virtual interview with Matthew Goodwin, Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) grad and Deputy Base Chief (DBCPO) within the Base Command Canadian Forces Base in Esquimalt, BC. In addition, Matthew is the founder of Goody’s Supplements and Whey2GoodCookies. More about Matthew Goodwin

Matthew Goodwin is the Deputy Base Chief (DBCPO) within the Base Command Canadian Forces Base in Esquimalt, BC. Matthew Goodwin joined the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) in March 2002, as a Boatswain. The first ship he worked on was a destroyer class vessel named Her Majesty's Canadian Ship (HMCS) Algonquin. In the years that followed, Matthew sailed in HMCS OTTAWA, REGINA, PROTECEUR, all eight ORCA class vessels, ORIOLE (a 1921, 102ft sailing vessel), and spent three years in St. Jean sur Richelieu as a Basic Training Instructor.

In 2017, while serving in a posting in the Joint Personnel Support Unit (JPSU) as the Regional Unit Chief (Pacific), Matthew was nominated and received the Order of Military Merit recognizing distinctive merit and exceptional service displayed by the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces, both Regular and Reserve. 

In 2018, Matthew completed his Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management degree from Royal Roads University. While attending the program, he managed his company Goody’s Supplements and started a secondary company called Whey2GoodCookies. Early last year, Matthew added sports and gym equipment to Goody’s Supplements.
