Tamara Leary appointed Associate Vice-President

Dr. Tamara Leary has been appointed associate vice-president integrated academic planning and strategic initiatives at Royal Roads University. The newly created role will work with the Office of the Vice-President Academic and Provost. 

“Dr. Leary will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for Royal Roads University’s integrated academic planning,” says Veronica Thompson, vice-president and provost of RRU. “We are excited for her to apply her strategic planning and cross-campus collaboration skills to our program development and assessment. She will also integrate strategic enrolment planning across the university.”   

Leary joined Royal Roads in 2015 as an associate professor and program head for the Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership program. In 2018, she was appointed School Director in RRU’s School of Education and Technology   

“I look forward to working with the academic portfolio in continuing Royal Roads’ commitment to prepare future leaders with the skills, inspiration and creativity they need to change the world,” says Leary. “The opportunity to collaborate with faculty and staff colleagues across campus to achieve these goals is one I am deeply grateful for.” 

Leary began her new role on December 11, 2023.
