Do you want to make a difference and positive impact on the environment?

Join us on June 17th for a webinar on the Graduate Certificate in Science and Policy of Climate Change (GCSPCC), and Master of Arts and Master of Science in Environmental Practice (MEP) programs.

Developed in partnership with ECO Canada, these fully online programs are for people who wish to advance their environmental careers or to transition from other areas into the burgeoning environmental field.

This webinar will provide you with information about the programs, application requirements, and the opportunity to hear from one of our students, Elizabeth Bruch, about her first-hand experiences. You’ll also hear about how you can put the credits of the graduate certificate towards the master’s degree, and come out with both credentials! Your session will be hosted by the program head, Dr. Leslie King.

Meet Elizabeth, a GCSPCC and MAEP student

Elizabeth Bruch began her career as a lawyer in the U.S. and then worked in international human rights. She left practice to become a law professor, and then later returned to school to get her Ph.D. in sociology from the University of British Columbia. She continued in higher education, teaching at the university level in BC and in Washington state on law and policy, crime and justice, research methods and social issues. With a growing interest in climate change, sustainability, and environmental policy, she moved to Vancouver Island, joined the public service, and decided to pursue further study. Elizabeth is nearing completion of the Graduate Certificate in the Science and Policy of Climate Change and the MA in Environmental Practice.

We encourage you to register even if you are unable to attend. Everyone who registers will receive a link to the webinar recording.

Please note - the event time is 12-1 pm, but your confirmation email may say differently. We are working on getting this issue fixed. Thank you!
