Sandy Walker has 25 years of experience in product development and consulting, combined with more than 10 years of organizing and leading mountaineering expeditions to remote areas of the Arctic, Antarctic, Asia/Himalayas, Europe, South America and western North America. Walker brings her unique combination of strategic business knowledge and expeditionary expertise to courses in the School of Business at Royal Roads University.
Experience
Walker is a 20-year marketing, product development and project management veteran with extensive experience in a variety of industries including publishing, consumer-packaged goods, energy, telecommunications and recreation/tourism in various sectors. She is an expert in leadership, business strategy, change management, marketing and project management. In 2012, Walker opened Routefinder Consulting, a full-service management consultancy specializing in strategic and operations planning. Currently, she is Routefinder Consulting’s president and principal consultant. Additionally, Walker has a long and diverse experience serving as a director on several not-for-profit boards.
She is certified in Myers Briggs Type Instrument and IAP2 (International Association for Public Participation).
Walker has been awarded the Laura Vidalis Memorial Scholarship (2011) and the MBA 2000 Scholarship (2011).
