Bio (Lisa Hirschbeck)
Lisa Hirschbeck is a chartered professional accountant (chartered accountant legacy qualification) with experience in the private and post-secondary education sectors. Hirschbeck has been lecturing on corporate finance at Royal Roads University since 2016. Her research focus is on retirement planning.
Hirschbeck has worked at accounting firms in an audit role in South Africa, Russia and Canada, and has lectured on accounting subjects in Canada and South Africa over the past 15 years.
Hirschbeck holds a Master of Commerce in Taxation (2015) from Rhodes University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education and Training (2014) from the University of Fort Hare, a Master of Business Administration (2002) from Heriot-Watt University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Taxation (2000) from the University of South Africa, a Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy (1998) from Rhodes University and a Bachelor of Commerce (1997) from Rhodes University. Hirschbeck is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (2014) and through the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (2001).
