School partnership creates new climate action leadership program

A new partnership between Royal Roads University, Pearson College and Vancouver Island University sprouted on Earth Day, creating a new Climate Action Leadership Diploma program for Canadian and global students aged 16 to 19. The diploma aims to develop a sophisticated set of leadership competencies linked to the Climate Action Competency framework developed by RRU. The two-year CALD diploma provides students with access to university-level courses and customized programming in leading climate action, incorporating Indigenous knowledge and environmental stewardship, student-directed micocredentials and a summer field school.
