Here's where Royal Roads made headlines this week: 

  • Associate Professor of Communication and Culture David Black provided commentary on a CHEK News story about a recent MOU signed by Prime Minister Mark Carney and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith to outline plans for a national pipeline. 
  • The new officer pathway program offered by RRU in partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces was featured in The Globe and Mail (Account required).  
  • Christopher McGrath, associate faculty in Education and Technology, wrote an article for Academica’s "Illuminating Hope" series on post-secondary staff and faculty looking to their students for hope and inspiration in times of uncertainty.  

  • Black Press reported that Greater Victoria’s three public colleges and universities are moving forward with balanced budgets for 2026/27, with Royal Roads anticipating a modest surplus for the year.
