  • David Black, associate professor of Communication and Culture was interviewed by Abbotsford News (additional coverage by Abbotsford News), the Vancouver Sun and the Times Colonist on BC Conservative Party leadership potentials, by BC News on Premier Eby’s plans for 2026, by CHEK (additional coverage by CHEK) about events in Venezuela and by CHEK about retired City of Victoria Police Chief, Del Manak considering a mayoral run.  

  • Kenneth Christie, professor and program head of the Master of Arts in Human Security and Peacebuilding and Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Management programs, spoke on CFAX regarding events in Venezuela and implications for Canada. 

  • Thomas Homer-Dixon, executive director of the Cascade Institute and Adam Gordon, an affiliated researcher on Cascade’s democracy and polycrisis teams and former legal adviser to Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs were featured in a Globe and Mail op-ed stating Canadians must confront an unsettling new reality that the US could use military coercion against Canada.   • Rebecca Pearce, post-doctoral research fellow and science lead for the Cascade Institute’s Ultradeep Geothermal program was featured in Energy Tracker about whether renewable energy can replace fossil fuels.
