Here's where Royal Roads made headlines this week: 

  • Geoff Bird, professor of Communication and Culture, spoke with CBC All Points West about his documentary film Story Pole, and with CHEK News about the 103-year-old tree in a North Saanich park which originated in Flanders Field.  
  • Mahmood Fayazi, assistant professor of Humanitarian Studies, wrote a Conversation Canada article about the importance of international support to fulfill humanitarian needs and reconstruction in Gaza.  

  • David Black, associate professor of Communication and Culture, spoke with CFAX about a breakdown of the federal government budget and a Conservative MP who crossed the floor.
