Here's where Royal Roads made headlines this week:
A “Pocket Class” video by Jaigris Hodson, associate professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Canada Research Chair for Digital Misinformation, Polarization & Anti-Social Media, was shared by Education News Canada.
Zoë MacLeod, associate vice-president of Professional and Continuing Studies, was interviewed by The Evolllution about creating seamless pathways between non-credit professional learning and academic credentials. The interview was later picked up by Academica.
Rebecca Pearce, science lead for the Cascade Institute’s Ultradeep Geothermal program was featured in Environment Journal for her TEDxRRU talk about geothermal energy opportunities.
Royal Roads University’s entry into the Dimensions Canada program, which supports EDI in research, was featured in Academica Top Ten (no link).
The RRU Salt Spring campus – the Bloom Castle by the Sea – was mentioned by the Gulf Islands Driftwood for its participation in the yearly Salt Spring Apple Festival.
RRU was mentioned in an Academica round-up of institutions acknowledging the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
RRU’s Board of Governors announced a new Chancellor and Chair and four new members, which was featured in Education News Canada and Academica Top Ten (no link), and new member Richa Sharma-Raisinghani was featured in Business Examiner South Vancouver Island Movers and Shakers.
