  • Academica Group and NationTalk covered RRU’s partnership with the Government of Canada, the Government of Nunavut and Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated to launch the Namminiqsurniq Professional Project Administrator Program.
  • Black Press and Business Examiner’s South Vancouver Island Movers & Shakers and BC Movers & Shakers reported on Lori Wanamaker’s chancellor and chair of RRU Board of Governors appointment.
  • Cecilia Campero, an adjunct professor in Humanitarian Studies at Royal Roads University and of Mapuche heritage, was featured in ICT for her groundbreaking study to explore how Indigenous worldviews can influence environmental governance.
  • Jaigris Hodson, associate professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Canada Research Chair in Digital Communication for the Public Interest, provided commentary in an interview on CBC’s BC Today about the ethical and social implications of viral videos and internet notoriety.
  • Moira A. McDonald, director, School of Tourism and Hospitality Management spoke with Black Press about cruise tourism and how communities navigate economic revival and environmental responsibility as visits surge on the Island.
  • Jennifer Walinga. professor in the School of Communication and Culture, spoke with CBC On the Island about the former Hockey Canada players sexual assault trial court ruling.
