Here's what Royal Roads experts were interviewed about this week:
- David Black, associate professor of Communications and Culture, spoke to CHEK News about the City of Victoria’s recent announcement of a report with 95 recommendations on how to address community safety and wellbeing.
- Elin Kelsey, adjunct professor of Environment and Sustainability, gave an address at the Our Whole Society conference on negative media reporting of climate change causing a “crisis of hope.” It was covered by Canadian Affairs.
- Master of Science in Environmental Practice student Meghan MacIsaac was featured in Vancouver Island Free Daily, after she received the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre’s new annual Robin and Sylvia Campbell Scholarship to Benefit Wildlife.
- The National Indigenous Peoples Day event, which Royal Roads University hosts on campus each year, was featured in the Times Colonist and on CFAX and CBC Radio.
