Here's what Royal Roads experts were interviewed about this week: 

  • Professor of Communication and Culture Geoff Bird’s film Story Pole: Indigenous Veterans and the Tallest Pole in the World was screened by CHEK News.  
  • Royal Roads University and Urasenke Tankokai Victoria Association’s new tea ceremony offering at the Teahouse was covered in Victoria Buzz and Black Press publications.  

  • David Black, associate professor of Communication and Culture, was on CBC News to discuss the federal election ballot recounts.  

  • Robert Newell, assistant professor of Environment and Sustainability and Canada Research Chair for Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainability, was interviewed by Blue Dot Living about community housing bonds – a solution for disaster-resistant housing.  

  • Education News Canada featured research led by Kathleen Manion, program head of the Master of Arts in Justice Studies program, about online dangers and AI.  

  • RRU’s partnership with ITESO, Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara in Mexico, was featured in Education News Canada.
