President Steenkamp: a Vision in Bloom

Today I announced our Vision in Bloom campaign to reimagine our already spectacular Royal Roads gardens so they can become a rejuvenating force for the entire community.

The water wheel in the Japanese Garden is now spinning again thanks to the generous support of donors, the skillful restoration of artisans and our Gardens & Grounds and Maintenance teams.

Together we will expand the beehives, resume large scale food production, renew the Japanese Garden to become a jewel of the West Coast, restore our Glass House—one of the last remaining heritage greenhouses in Canada, and create more spaces for contemplation and commemoration.

With all that’s going on right now, we need places like this more than ever. A place where you can come to relax and recharge, to engage, learn and find inspiration. An oasis for health and wellness.
