President Steenkamp: Cooking something up with Chef Daniele

I’d been hearing great things about our new executive chef’s menu at Habitat Café, so I thought I’d have a talk with him about one of his famous recipes. Chef Daniele Mereu wasted no time in turning the restaurant tables on me and putting me to work!

Together (well, mostly him) we prepared a delicious and budget-friendly meal for students from the grab-and-go freezer. This time, it was an Italian specialty, but Chef Daniele also shared why cooking with flavours from around the world is a key part of his culinary philosophy, and a treat for students too.
