Al Ferraby of CFAX 1070 interviewed political communication expert Assoc. Prof. David Black to get his final impression from the recent federal election and his reaction to the recent diplomatic breakthrough between Canada and China. Here’s some of what he had to say,

“… although the political map remains largely unchanged, unchanged, in remarkable ways in terms of sheer numbers, the policy and party identity map has shifted dramatically, except for the People's Party, which ran, quite assertively to the right. All the parties shifted their policy positions to the center and the center left. I don't think we've had an election in modern history that was fought on such a narrow policy ground in terms of the convergence of all the parties’ positions.”
